The product

Overview

StoMTO is plan takeoff in the browser, for people who already know what a pack of paving and a joint gap feel like. Load a PDF or drawing, set the scale, measure by layer, then export materials, an estimate, a stamped sheet or a quote pack. There is no Windows install. The desk runs in Chrome, Edge or Safari on a PC, Mac or iPad.

Phil Stone built it after more than twenty years in the building trade. By day he is Residential and Trade Sales Director at Irish Stone in Hillsborough, selling natural stone across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. StoMTO is his own product at stomto.co.uk.

It is in public soft launch, and the trust line is simple. You set the scale and you own the quantities. Plans stay in a folder you control — StoMTO does not host the drawings. There is no minimum-term contract. List prices exclude VAT, and checkout does not add VAT. Features may still be refined as the product matures. During this soft launch, Irish Stone holds complimentary seats.

On the Merchant package, a Hub bridge can send a draft quote pack to the merchant Hub you connect, and can pull a catalogue when that feed is set up. You can still download the pack. This page introduces StoMTO. It is not a Hub product page.

    PDF, DXF or image. Set the scale, including more than one zone on a sheet.

    Paving, kerbs and counts. Apply a template pack and bind a SKU when you have a catalogue.

  3. 03Export the list

    Materials, estimate, stamped sheet, or a quote pack. Share only what you choose.

On the desk

Features

  • Open the plan

    PDF, DXF, TIFF, PNG or JPG in the browser. DWG stays in CAD: save as DXF or print to PDF, then open that file. Calibrate a known length, or a true-size scale, including more than one zone on a sheet.

  • Measure by layer

    Lines, areas, counts, volumes and notes. Snap, square-up, and metric or imperial. A trade layer can carry a product, an assembly and a waste percentage.

  • Stone maths and templates

    Template packs expand into materials with waste. Joint millimetres and pack round-up are built for paving and hardscape. Solo includes patio and drive packs. Yard and Merchant include the full trade library.

  • Estimate and export

    Overhead and profit worksheet, CSV, spreadsheet, stamped sheet, DXF markup, and a quote-pack file. You verify quantities before you bid. Guest links expire with the package: 14, 30 or 90 days. They are not a live group edit.

  • Your folder

    Link a local folder, or save the takeoff file, including on iPad. If that folder sits in OneDrive or SharePoint, the computer syncs it. StoMTO is not a drawing drive.

  • Merchant Hub bridge

    Merchant can pull a catalogue from the Hub you connect, and Export can send a draft quote pack across that bridge. Every package can still download the pack. Lower packages do not post it for you.

  • More than one scale on a sheet

    Name each scale, box a zone, and switch them. A scale printed in the title block can be applied. Flattening a PDF closes the gaps in hatches and pattern tiles.

  • Edit after you commit

    Drag the points, select several measures at once, follow a curve, duplicate a line, or jump the sheet back to that measure.

  • Assists you still check

    Optional pattern match, an on-device scale hint, and layer suggestions from the plan text. You set the scale. You own the quantities. This is not automatic takeoff.

  • Revisions on Yard and Merchant

    Snapshot a revision, see what the quantities did, and ghost one issue over another. Solo does not include revision compare.

  • A desk you can hand to someone

    Your logo and company name on the desk and on exports. Larger controls on iPad. If the tab closes, the draft is still there.

  • Soft-launch trust

    Drawings stay beside the job. Irish Stone has complimentary seats while the product is in soft launch. Guest links share numbers for a limited time. They do not open your folder.
