What is STOCut?
STOCut is sheet cutting plan / nesting software with an offcut library. It nests on your real warehouse stock, uses finished edges already on the sheet where it can, totals yield, m², pieces and cuts per job, and prints a separate after-cut work list — for wood, laminate, stone, metal and other sheet materials.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Everyone gets a full 14-day unlimited trial in the browser on PC or Mac — warehouse, nest, print and remnants. Printed docs and exports are watermarked during trial. After that, £14.99 per month with 1 GB cloud sync · 1 device, or £899 lifetime with 5 GB cloud sync · 1 device. Paid plans include cloud sync; you can still export a local backup anytime.
Does it work on Mac as well as Windows?
Yes. STOCut runs in the browser — works on PC or Mac. No separate install. Use Chrome, Edge, Safari or Firefox.
Is there a lifetime option?

Where is my data saved?
Your workshop is cached in the browser for speed and offline use. After you subscribe, open Account → Cloud sync on stocut.co.uk: create a STOCut sign-in to upload and download jobs and warehouse (1 GB cloud sync · 1 device on monthly; 5 GB · 1 device on lifetime). Export a JSON backup anytime. Trial data stays in the browser until you pay.
Where do I upload my shop logo?
On stocut.co.uk open Account → Shop & backup. Upload PNG, JPG, WebP or SVG. It appears on cutting PDFs and is included in JSON backup and cloud sync.
Can I use STOCut on another computer?
Accounts are locked to one device. After you subscribe, remove the old device on Account → Cloud sync before signing in on a replacement PC or Mac, or buy a +1 device add-on. Or use Download backup / Restore backup without cloud.
Can I add another device or more cloud storage?
Base plans include 1 device. Add-ons: +1 device (£2.99/mo or £49 once) or +1 GB cloud (£1/mo or £15 once) — buy on Account → Plan & cloud on stocut.co.uk after you subscribe.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your workshop stays in the browser. After monthly ends you can view and download paid work but not edit until you renew. JSON backup always works.
Cutting plans & warehouse
Is STOCut a cutting optimiser?
Yes — rectangular 2D nesting with kerf, optional grain lock, printable layouts, cut length and yield on real warehouse stock, not only blank catalogue sheets.
How is this different from blank-sheet nesting software?
Generic tools minimise waste on a new sheet. STOCut prefers finished stock edges when a part needs them — less bespoke profiling to quote and less remachining — then writes remnants back with Front, Back, Left and Right finishes so the next job can use them.
What totals does each job show?
On every cutting plan: yield and waste, area cut (m²), piece count, cut length, number of cuts, edge-banding metres, profile lengths already on the stock vs still to do after the saw, parts list, leftovers and required stock. Identical layouts group as Layout A × qty. A separate bespoke after-cut list matches profiling and post-saw work to part marks.
What materials does it support?
Any rectangular or square sheet stock you define — timber, laminate, stone, metal, plastic and more. Materials, finishes and popular sizes are yours to set.
Can I print cutting plans and profile lists?
Yes. Add your shop name and logo once — they appear on printable saw sheets (layouts, parts, leftovers, cut totals) and a separate bespoke after-cut list covers profiling matched to part marks.
Import & export
Can I import my stock list from a spreadsheet?
Yes. Warehouse → Replace from CSV. Columns include name, code, material, kind, sizes, qty, location, cost, priority, and front/back/left/right edge codes matching your Edges page. Re-upload to refresh; new lines import at qty 0 until you confirm.
What can I export from a job?
Cut list CSV or Excel, buy list CSV, parts CSV import/export, and simple DXF layout rectangles. All from the job or print view — no extra tier.
